Governance and Management

Gumboots is a Charitable Trust, which means we are a non-profit, community-run Early Childhood Centre.  When you enrol your child in Gumboots, you also become a stakeholder in this Charitable Trust, and your help and input play a vital role in the running of the Centre.

To ensure the ongoing successful running of the Centre, volunteers are essential - we are completely managed and governed by parent volunteers (with the exception of our finances, which are completed by a paid treasurer).

We understand and respect that everybody’s capacity to help will be different, but every bit does help.  Whether it’s participating in working bees, providing parent help for fieldtrips, odd jobs, or a more active role on the committee, it all goes a long way toward ensuring we can continue to provide the positive early childhood experience that your child will benefit from.

Please consider joining the committee when you enrol your child. Have a (no-obligation) chat with either the supervisor, chairperson or any other committee members for more information, or come along to one of our monthly meetings to see what it’s all about.
