I have been enjoying teaching at Gumboots since 2008 along with relieving experience in other centres and took on the role of supervisor in 2018. I hold a Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood Education), Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Literature and History, Postgraduate Diploma of Management Studies and am a fully registered teacher. I am proud to be part of the team of wonderful teachers and families in our unique, rural character centre and am passionate about the nurturing, creative and empowering environment that we create for our children here. Outside of work I have a local lifestyle block with my husband and two children. Some of the things I enjoy doing include hanging out with my family and dogs, yoga and socialising with friends. I am also a chocoholic.

I have been teaching here for a number of years. I have a Diploma of Teaching and I am a fully registered teacher. I have many years of early childhood experience both here and in the UK. I married a Kiwi and live on a farm with 3 children. At Gumboots one of the places I enjoy spending time with the children is outdoors, playing and learning together, listening to and respecting children's ideas and preferences. The outdoors is where I ride both horses and bikes in my spare time.

Kia ora, my name is Charlotte Stewart and I hold a bachelor of Early Childhood Education. I have worked in the early childhood sector for six years and have had experience in working with all ages and stages over the last six years. I love to have fun and create strong responsive and reciprocal relationships with my team, the children and their whanau. Two years ago my partner and I moved out to Maraekakaho and loved the environment so much that I decided to take on a job at gumboots where the philosophy links into my own.
