Maraekakaho Country Market Day is the annual major fundraiser for Maraekakaho Early Childhood Centre (Gumboots) and Maraekakaho School. 2020 will mark our 8th Market Day to date. All funds raised will be used to enhance student’s development by upgrading resources, outside play areas and equipment.
Notices will be coming out shortly with a list of volunteering opportunities on the day. Our Market Day cannot be a success without our families being involved!!
The Market Day event is planned and managed by a committee of volunteers, made up of teachers, parents and wider community, and, on the day, run by an additional team of local volunteers. Everyone involved gives freely of their time and effort.
The committee’s aim is to have a strong focus on creating a great community event with a family atmosphere showcasing our rural lifestyle. There are normally several major exhibitors; a wide range of both amateur and commercial stallholders who display and sell their craft, art works and products; and commercial refreshment providers. A range of activities and events that the whole family can enjoy, run throughout the day.
The management committee recognise that the health, safety and wellbeing of everyone involved in, or attending, this event is of fundamental importance and are committed, to make every effort to comply with the requirements of this Act and associated legislation.

As a Sponsor you are not only helping to build better resources for the approximate 190 children of Gumboots and Maraekakaho School, you are delivering your brand to the homes of the rural community of Maraekakaho, Raukawa and Kereru districts and also the masses of people coming from all over Hawkes Bay.
